MEET AVA KIDDER

Hi, Pennytoft Girls! 💗

I’m Ava Kidder, the founder and owner of Pennytoft & Co.! What started as a childhood dream became a reality when I launched my women’s clothing boutique at 18 years old, right out of my college dorm room!

I was born and raised in Elkhorn, Nebraska, and I’m currently a junior at Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina. I’ve always had a love for fashion, a passion for business, and a dream of creating something of my own.

Pennytoft & Co. is so much more than a clothing boutique. It’s about helping girls feel confident, embrace their personal style, and have FUN with fashion! I’ve always loved a good pop of color, and I believe getting dressed should be something you look forward to every day!

The name Pennytoft & Co. holds a special place in my heart. It’s inspired by Pennytoft Lane, the street my grandmother lived on in England. The hibiscus flower in our logo also represents my other grandma and her love for Hawaii!

What began in my dorm room has grown into traveling to different states, hosting pop-ups at colleges and local businesses, and connecting with so many incredible girls along the way. My favorite part of this journey has been the relationships I’ve built and the amazing people I’ve met!

When I’m not packing orders, hosting pop-ups, or shopping for new inventory, you can find me attending classes, creating social media content, spending time with friends and family, or planning my next adventure!

My biggest hope is that Pennytoft & Co. inspires other girls to chase their dreams, take risks, and believe that you’re never too young to turn your dreams into reality.
